Auditing Risks in a Recession
During difficult economic times for business many senior executives begin to think more frequently about risks facing their organizations. The question is, are they thinking about the right ones? Should for example management become transfixed on financial storms across the globe, might they ignore the weather outside their window?
This event will explore what changes the global recession has brought to internal audit and how the profession can aid management in staying focused on the right risks to the business.
During this moderated roundtable discussion the panel will explore:
- What challenges and opportunities has the global recession brought to internal audit
- How the financial turmoil of the past few years has changed the role of internal auditors
- What management’s expectation and needs are of internal audit in the year ahead
- Recommendation to audit departments on how to navigate and manage change
