The IIA’s Global Internal Audit Survey – A Component of the CBOK Study
The IIA’s Global Internal Audit Survey is the most comprehensive global study of the profession to be conducted since the 2006 study and should provide internal audit practitioners with the latest information on the status of the profession across the globe.
The results of the survey will:
- Present insights on emerging issues and challenges facing the profession.
- Help identify new opportunities to add value as an internal audit professional to your organization.
- Contribute to the development of new standards and guidance.
- Show changes in the profession since the 2006 study was conducted, and much more.

Every internal audit practitioner from around the world is invited to participate. In addition, the survey is open to partners and staff at service providers’ organizations and academics who teach or research topics related to the profession.
If you are a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) you’ll receive an e-mail invitation to take the survey through your local institute or chapter. Members and non-members alike may take the survey HERE between March 15 and May 17, 2010. Participants will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win one of 30 Visa Gift Cards valued at US $200, which can be used anywhere Visa is accepted around the world!
Survey Results
First results should be published by the end of 2010. Results published by The Global IIA will be available in print and online; online publications will be offered at no cost to IIA members. Local institutes may publish results including information of specific interest to its members and its region. Institutes initial results should also come available by the end of 2010.
